Should they have one more big man? Maybe.
Should they have more dead-eye shooters? Nope, all set.
Lack of distance-shooting used to be an issue, but not anymore. Carmelo, Kobe, Paul, Redd, and Williams are all good-or-better shooters from NBA-three range, and dead-eye from the international three. Wade and LeBron are both streaky, but they can do some work from 20+, as well.
Watching these guys maul Canada, despite not totally being on the same page yet, is quite something. I know Canada’s not Spain or Argentina, but that’s mostly a question of offensive talent. And this USA team is going to dominate, defensively.
Actually, that speaks to the big-man issue too. Howard, Bosh, and LeBron, are all big enough to handle guys inside, but quick enough to guard three-point shooting bigs.
This is going to be fun.
