Marc Stein writes that the Suns are having problems. Screw the Suns, they’re the most two-faced organization in the NBA and they never get called on it. I wrote about this last year, saying that Knicks fans were better of than Suns fans. Knicks were incompetent, not unethical. The Suns spit on their fans by giving away valuable 1st round picks that could have netted them cheap allstars (like Luol Deng) and starters (like Rondo) and instead they traded the picks away for nothing, because they didn’t feel like paying first-round salaries. They finally decide to spend some money, only after Steve Kerr took a firm hold on the personnel moves, and they get a hugely expensive risk, in Shaq, when there was an abundance of cheap talent available, that was too rich for their blood, at the time.
The Suns organization deserves to go down without a championship and it’s just unfortunate that they wasted Hall of Fame years from Steve Nash. As close as they came to championship contention, it’s hard for me to believe that a lotto pick and a few first rounders wouldn’t have pushed them over the edge. So screw the Suns.
