Chad Ford makes me chuckle. His first mock draft has Tyler Hansbrough going to the Utah Jazz:
“It feels like destiny for Hansbrough to end up in Utah. His tough, blue-collar game should work really well for Jazz coach Jerry Sloan.”
Indeed, Hansbrough will fit right in with other tough, blue collar Jazz players on the current roster like: Kyrylo Fesenko, Matt Harpring, Andrei Kirilenko, Kyle Korver, Kosta Koufus, and Mehmet Okur.
Come to think of it, Hansbrough also reminds me of some other tough, blue-collar players from former Jazz teams, like: Louis Amundson, Rafael Araujo, Gordan Giricek, Kris Humphries, Greg Ostertag, Curtis Borchardt, Ben Handlogten, Raul Lopez, Aleksandar Radojevic, Paul Grant, Tom Gugliotta, Sasha Pavlovic, Scott Padgett, Rusty LaRue, John Crotty, and Pete Chilcutt, just to name a few, from the 21st century Jazz teams. You might call these guys the Adam Keefe All-Stars.
Yeah, I guess John Stockton is an Adam Keefe All-Star, but he’s also a Hall-of-Famer and an original Dream Teamer. His Adam Keefeness is as notable as Einstein’s honorary degree from DeVry.
Oh, and to answer a question, yes, Pete Chilcutt’s picture is on his nba.com bio page; you just have to look closely. He gets kind of lost in the background.
